It was a fun read with some doses of heavy. The story developed well, was easy to follow, and ended well. Seeing her vulnerability made me appreciate the character a bit more and Lewis’ parents like him were a gem. She owned all of her emotions and I loved to see it.Īnother scene that I liked was when she was introduced to Lewis’ parents over dinner and her mum was invited. 'Selling Sunset' newbie Nicole Young is feeling some serious fallout from her feud with costar Chrishell Stause - we're told Nicole's getting brutal death threats, now. I don’t know why but I found it empowering. My favorite scene is easily when Ayumi marked her territory and told her ex-friend off. Their friends showed up for them and I enjoyed seeing it. Lastly, I loved the glimpses of strong friendship bonds that were featured in the story. I found that realistic and something readers could relate to based on personal experiences. The story touched on Ayumi’s reluctance to connect emotionally and Lewis’ willingness to commit in spite of his fear of being burnt. Additionally, their chemistry and banter were really beautiful. After it transitioned to a monogamous relationship, I adored it more. What’s more attractive than that? I loved the relationship between her and Lewis when it was friends with benefits. She was the G.O.A.T., and she was also fun, feisty, sexy, confident, and knew her worth.
